How Hire Purchase works
Decide the amount you would like to put down as a deposit on your chosen vehicle (minimum VAT & RFL) and agree the term of your agreement. Then throughout the term of your agreement you pay the regular instalments over the agreed term until the remainder of its value is repaid.

At the end of your agreement

Finance Lease is a solution for those who want to drive one of our vehicles over a fixed term, with lower monthly rentals and without the worries or concern of ownership.

The benefits of Finance

• Can offset the whole rental amount against taxable income.
• No mileage restriction.
• Monthly rentals are fixed, but there’s flexibility through variable deposit options.
• Ability to offset a proportion of the vehicle cost as a final ‘balloon payment’.
• Reduced monthly rentals result in a positive effect on your cash flow.
• Possibility of reclaiming tax relief on Finance Lease rentals depending on business usage (50% VAT reclaimable on cars, 100% reclaimable on LCVs).

At the end of your agreement
You will get three choices when your van’s agreement comes to an end:

Selection 1 – Sell The Vehicle
Acting as our agent, you can sell the vehicle on our behalf and receive a share of the sale proceeds, assuming no balance is owed to us.

Selection 2 – Return Your Vehicle
We’ll forward your share of the balance of proceeds to you once anything owed to us, including any sell-on expenses have been settled.

Selection 3 – Keep Your Vehicle
If you want to continue to use the vehicle you can pay a nominal fee (usually one month’s rental) and carry on driving for the whole of the following year.

How Contract Hire works
At the start of your agreement you pay an advance rental upfront. Your monthly rentals are based on the difference between the initial value of the vehicle and its projected residual value at the end of your agreement. Therefore, only a proportion of the vehicle’s value is repaid, which avoids a large initial expense and keeps monthly payments lower.

With a Contract Hire agreement, you can choose from the ‘Full Maintenance with Tyres’ option or with ‘No Maintenance’ options. This means the costs are fixed over the term of the agreement allowing you to budget easily and reduce any unexpected costs.

Contract Hire features include

• Low initial deposit.
• Road Fund licence included.
• Optional servicing, maintenance and tyre options.
• Reduced VAT paid by the business, as monthly vehicle payments can be offset against taxable profits.
• Vehicles on Contract Hire are classified as ‘off-balance sheet’ funding.
• VAT efficient – businesses are able to claim 100% of the VAT back for business use.

At the end of your agreement
Simply return your vehicle with nothing more to pay, subject to it being in line with the Vehicle Return Standards such as vehicle condition and excess mileage. If the vehicle is returned with fair wear and tear, no extra charges will be payable.
